4 Simple Rules For Getting The Most From Your Workouts

4 Simple Rules For Getting The Most From Your Workouts

Getting (and keeping) your best body seems like a lot of work. You look at workout plans, plan your diet, and dedicate tons of time to building your fitness and confidence. The thing is, your best body is a product of hard work, but it doesn’t need to be complicated. You don’t need to plan every minute of your workout or every calorie you consume. Keeping an eye on those things is great, but it’s not what will make the difference. Here are four simple rules that will help you get the most from your workouts and stay on track towards your fitness goals.

Never Go 3 Days Without Exercise

There is no discounting the benefits of rest days. They let you recharge, allow your muscles to recover, and provide you with a much-needed mental break from the gym. However, it’s incredibly important to stay motivated, and too much time away can crush that motivation. There have been times where I felt I needed a break and spent a week away from my normal workout routine. The truth is, nothing is harder than getting back into it once you've stepped away and lost your momentum. If you’re dedicated to getting your best body, you need to stay consistent.

Work Out At Least 3 Times Per Week

Like I said, consistency is key. Getting into a routine and sticking with it will help you shave unwanted fat and get your best body faster than anything else will, especially when done with our weight loss tools. Once you’ve set your routine, it becomes easier and easier to stick with it. Set a goal to work out at least three times a week, and stick to it. Not only will you start seeing the physical payoff quickly, but you’ll also feel fulfilled.

Never Miss A Monday

Ugh. Mondays.

Does anybody actually like them? It’s the start of the workweek, and the hardest day to get out of bed in the morning. But just because it’s hard, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.

Facing challenges head-on is the key to success. That means getting out of bed on a Monday, and heading to the gym. By doing things that are hard, even when we don't want to, we build discipline and develop character. You know that you should be at the gym, push through the Monday Blues and get in there.

Never Give Up

This is a big one. People will tell you your whole life never to give up, but it’s always good to have a little reminder. Don’t forget to tell yourself why you’re doing what you do. Whether it be weight loss, muscle building, or confidence boosting, by dedicating time and energy to improving yourself, you'll look and feel better both mentally and physically.

These are four rules that are simple and easy to follow, yet will make a huge difference in your life. These are specifically for your workouts, but the concepts behind them can be applied to just about any part of your life.
